Casselman, Ontario is located a solid 35 minute drive from downtown Ottawa and its proximity to the 417 makes it an easy access point. Although the town population consists only of less than 4,000 people (as of 2011), it has nearly all the amenities that a family might need. As the town continues to grow, new additions such as the recently constructed ‘microhotel’, splash pads and the microbrewery, Cassel Brewery, keep this community on the rise. It even has a Via Rail stop where you can hop on the train and head to Ottawa, Montreal or beyond.
Casselman is by far the most Francophone community that Tessier Team serves. Over 80% of the population identifying themselves as speaking French as a first language. The town is also very close to St. Albert, of the regional curd fame, so residents get their fill of the delicious cheeses and can spend time at the annual Festival de la Curd.
